I've always enjoyed making silly voices, making stuff up on the spot, writing jingles, and pretending to be an actor for a TV or radio commercial, but never felt as passionately about it as I do writing and performing my music. Last summer, that all started to change when I got to audition for Kim Myers from Applause International. I saw an ad that they were seeking to discover singers, actors, models, and dancers, and I signed up to audition, thinking solely that maybe it would be fun to try and possibly advance my singing career. I impressed them with my singing, but Kim asked me to read a TV Commercial script during my audition. The room was impressed and even more so, I impressed myself. I was invited to perform for The ARTS Winter Showcase in Isle of Palms, SC where I performed in the categories of Singing, Monologue, TV Commercial, Voice Over, Film Scene, and Improv. I also attended countless workshops and received coaching and training from industry professionals that was truly invaluable. I managed to place 2nd Place in Singing and also 2nd Place in Improv! In addition to actually making the podium in an acting category, I also had callbacks and received recognition from several agents that represent models & actors, and I was even awarded a partial scholarship from The Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC to attend their 6 week summer intensive training program! I felt incredibly honored and am so excited to see what the future holds for my singing, songwriting, and now acting careers as well!
